Internship Openings

National Trust internships are an ideal way to learn more about preservation or to gain experience in preparation for a career in the field.

During the Trust's 10-week summer program in Washington, 15-20 interns work on individual projects and have the opportunity to attend weekly educational sessions on topics relating to preservation, Trust programs, and non-profit management. Projects are available in various departments in our main office and some DC area historic sites.

Just Announced! This summer, the National Trust will hire a number of interns to help with a major web initiative, the creation of PreservationNation.org.  PreservationNation.org is more than just the National Trust's website.  It's part of an organization-wide branding, outreach, engagement and communications project – a virtual town square where people can share proven tools, make connections, and get inspired to save historic places. 10 interns will work in various departments as well as our Regional Offices to migrate material to our new Content Management System, and use Web2.0 technology to create a more engaging and interactive web presence for the Trust.
